Managing contacts
Contacts are the foundation of your WhatsApp messaging campaigns. They represent the people you want to communicate with and can be easily converted into recipients for your flows.
What are contacts?
Contacts are individual records that store information about people you want to message. Each contact contains:
- Phone number: The person's WhatsApp-enabled phone number
- Name: Their full name or display name
- Short name: A nickname or shorter version of their name
- Custom fields: Additional information like company, role, or notes
- Source: How the contact was added (manual, WhatsApp import, etc.)
Key benefits:
- Centralized management: Keep all your contacts in one place
- Easy organization: Search, filter, and categorize your contacts
- Reusable data: Use the same contacts across multiple flows
- Import capabilities: Automatically import from your WhatsApp contacts
